Book Review: Why the poor don't kills us

The title attracted me. I wish any Indian Economist had the courage to write this book. According to all recognized economic theories Indian inequality must have triggered us into a social anarchy several years (if not decades) back. Indian State's first non-communicable disease is inequality.  I think it was Galabrith who said that if the society reaches an inequality of 1:30 it will descend into chaos and people will kill each other in the states (i may be wrong with the number). Recently I read that some of our IT companies have a disparity between the lowest to the highest paid staff of the range of 1:800 and higher. The sector is part of the NCD.

Manu Joseph write with a humour that is infectious, from Palkhiwalla, Hindujas, Kanhaiya Kumar and many more, he picks up popular cases, relates them to the ordinary daily dialogues of the Indian middle class, traverses through political and social changes and challenges, to pose many a questions than render any answers.

still reading will write more....
