A year after the tsunami relief and rehabilitation work in tamilnadu coast got underway, there were many lessons to be learnt from the livelihood initiatives. Efforts that succeeded and those that failed all hold lessons for future work on similar situations here and elsewhere. Samanvaya undertook to study and document a few such initiatives. A part of this study was published by Practical Action, Asia Chapter based in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
