MAKE INDIA PROUD OF YOU!
Swami Someshwaranda's visit to Chennai, Feb 2004 - Organised by Samanvaya
Swami Someshwarananda,
one of the pioneers in bringing the wisdom of Indian Spirituality to Management,
has trained thousands of people across the country in management and has
enabled launch / revival of many enterprises. Swamiji is one of the first
people to propound the Indian System of Management (ISM) - which he has
been teaching and helping people to practice for over a decade now. Small
village entrepreneurs in villages near Kethri, Rajasthan, top executives
in board rooms across the country, cycle rickshaw pullers in Indore and
students in premium management institutes across the country have all
benefited from his insights.
Swamiji was in Chennai between
the 8th (Sunday) and 14th (Saturday) of February 2004. During this
visit he conducted management training programmes for organisations and
institutions, both in-house and external.
His constant refrain to all the students, corporates, entrepreneurs, householders...
that he met was, "Make India Proud of You!" He emphasised that
the most important thing is to show excellence in whatever we do, and
the only way to do this is to do what we love to do and enjoy our work.
He added that for this we need challenges at work which will give us the
opportunity to come up with solutions creatively. The way to creativity
is to be original and build our own identity. There is place neither for
imitation nor fear of failure in excellence. He gave students methods
to overcome fear, the primary one - starting to do difficult things in
daily life. These, he said are the necessary things to make India a Super
Power, NOT Software Engineering! Yet another Mantra that he gave people
to chant was "What Best can I do in this situation?"
